Megan Hammond May 4, 2016 Senior Services, Training, Workforce zero As part of Older Americans Month, we are showcasing profitable National Able Network Senior Services clients throughout May! In our latest weblog publish, we feature our client Sharon Smith who got here to Able to start her career path and, in turn, helped different clients start their career paths! When Sharon got here to Able, her ultimate aim was to discover a career and obtain self-sufficiency. She was enrolled in Able’s Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) and started training as a Case Aide at the workNet DuPage Center in Lisle, Ill. As a Case Aide, Sharon labored with Able Case Manager, Lourdes Holguin helping fellow SCSEP members who have been beginning their profession paths. By doing this, Sharon was able share her private expertise with others in the program. While working as a Case Aide, Sharon discovered priceless case management, consumption, and recruitm ent expertise. After coaching at the workNet DuPage Center, Sharon applied for a full-time place as an Intake Specialist. She interviewed and was offered the place shortly after! Sharon is grateful for the chance that Able has given her. “I consider myself to have tremendously benefitted from this program. My income was strained and my job search was bleak and SCSEP gave me the tools that I needed to maneuver ahead in elevating my revenue and Job Readiness Training classes taught me how to job search in knowledgeable method for gainful employment. I was trained in all aspects and being a case aide ready me to use and turn into a full-time worker. I could not be extra happy and grateful for the experience! A private thanks to Pat Wilkins, Jenna Holzberg and Lulu Holguin.” If you or someone you realize is age 50 or better and thinking about entering the workforce, please click right here or call to study more!
